👁️ Senior Computer Vision / Deep Learning Algorithm Developer
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision / Deep Learning Algorithm Developer with 7+ years of experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced computer vision and deep learning models for innovative Israeli deep tech startups. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in training vision models, managing large-scale datasets, and building efficient annotation pipelines. A proven track record in developing production-ready CV algorithms (object detection, segmentation, classification, tracking, etc.) is essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions, and a strong aptitude for remote work are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- 01Design, develop, train, and optimize state-of-the-art deep learning models for computer vision tasks (object detection, semantic/instance segmentation, image classification, pose estimation, tracking, etc.).
- 02Lead end-to-end computer vision pipelines from data collection to model deployment.
- 03Manage large-scale datasets, implement efficient data processing, augmentation, and preprocessing pipelines.
- 04Design, build, and maintain robust annotation pipelines and tools for high-quality labeled data.
- 05Experiment with and evaluate various architectures (CNNs, Transformers, Vision Transformers, etc.) to achieve optimal performance.
- 06Collaborate with MLOps, backend, and product teams to productionize models and align with business objectives.
- 07Translate complex business and research requirements into actionable technical tasks and model architectures.
- 08Analyze model performance, debug issues, and continuously improve accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
- 09Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning research.
- 010Mentor junior data scientists and algorithm engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- 011Communicate effectively with remote teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
- Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist / Algorithm Developer with a strong focus on Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
- Proven expertise in training and optimizing vision models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong experience in managing large datasets, data pipelines, and annotation tools/workflows.
- Solid understanding of modern computer vision techniques and architectures (YOLO, DETR, Mask R-CNN, Segment Anything, CLIP, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks, with experience in model optimization and deployment.
- Experience with data annotation platforms and building custom annotation pipelines.
- Proven ability to break down business objectives into technical tasks, excellent English communication, and self-motivation for remote work.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms for training and data storage is a plus.
- Bonus: Publications in top CV conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV), experience with edge deployment, or real-time vision systems.
